Last week I had a couple of good runs. On Tuesday evening, which is our regular cycling meet. I went down to the Palace to meet whoever might be going out, only to find I was on my own! However I decided to carry on, so off I took, headed towards the Black Isle and thought I would time myself, going round the Beauly Firth. The run itself was uneventful, except returning to Inverness there was a bit of a headwind so did not make the progress that I'd hoped. Anyhow my time from door-to-door was 2 hours and 12 minutes, so I was quite pleased with that.
The following day, Joan and I met up to go for a cycle, we did Essich and round by Dores, which is a familiar route. We stopped at Dores Inn for a drink before we cycled home. After nearly every cycle I've got to climb the hill up to the house, hard as it is (sometimes you wish it wasn't there at all) I feel it has prepared me for doing hills with a lot more ease than it is for others! I can't say I enjoy hills but I really don't mind them.
